Digipak + Magazine advert

The magazine advert was created using Adobe photoshop CS6 on the macs that are available at school. We tried to make the advert look as appealing as possible by making it look similar to our Digipak - this was so that the audience could relate to two immediately and wouldnt confuse the advert to be promoting another Digipak. 

Above is our Digipak that we created for the band 4Kicks, we used a variety of different editing techniques, which were all performed on the program Adobe photoshop CS5/6, both on my home macintosh and the macs that are available at school. We went for a very authentic style to our Digipak, keeping every panel similar to the others. The CD will be located on the top middle panel (the drums) - with the front panel being the top right one (with the band on it and the band name) the back panel is the top left one (with all the songs on it and the ghost face in the background).

Media Music Promo: 4Kicks - I Never Get Lost Expect By Your Side

Above is our finished Media promo. We used a variety of camera shots and angles to get our desired effect.Our location helped alot with our filming by giving a certain feel to the music. we wanted this to happen as we tried to get a point across, we tried to make our narrative tell a meaningful story. About a girl who has lost her boyfriend (death) and he some how haunts her, either in the fact that he was so faithful to her and she cheated on him all without him knowing and she is filled with guilt, or he full on haunts her as he knew about it all, but didnt say anything - the audience can then piece together the narrative themselves to what suits them the most. 

Equipment List

2x Video Camera's

 These should be FULLY charaged and cleared in order to fit as much film on as possible without having any technical issues.

2x Black Tripods

We need to check that both tripods have the clip at the top, in order to attach either camera to the tripod for a steady shot.

1x microphone

1x Microphone stand

1x Drum Kit

 Due to none of us having played the drums before, we have arranged to borrow the drum kit from one of our peers, who is acting as the drummer for our promo.

1x Pair of drum sticks

1x Drum Seat

1 Guitar

 This is being borrowed by the guitarist in our promo as none of our production team have any past playing guitar.

6x Hi Viz Jackets

 These will be provided by the company of the warehouse where we will be filming on day 1.

3x 50m extensions leads

1x Ipod (which will contain our chosen song)

1x Speakers

1x Double headed flood light

 This will be used along with natural light and normal electrical lights in the warehouse to give a back lit effect.

 If I had forgotten any of the lyrics, or am unsure of a few words having them held up for me throughout the song will ensure a smoother take.

Lastly it is very important that we bring the wires that our instruments needed to make them look authentic and real. The guitar will need the adapter so that it could be plugged into the amp, giving it that realistic look (the look that it is working electrically through the amp)

The microphone will also need an adapter brought so that it looks real and gives it that proper feel, it is needed so that it looks like the microphone is plugged in and working electrically. Real bands will need a microphone so that the singers voice will be heard over the sound of the instruments.
